- Primer Application and Adhesive Installation: While the main drop-glass bolts into the regulator, the fixed quarter sections and specific acoustic laminate tracks on this G80 require structural bonding. I apply a high-grade glass primer to the mounting points, followed by a premium urethane adhesive. This guarantees a completely waterproof, rattle-free bond that meets strict factory specs.
- Final Fit and Testing: I set the new glass, secure the mounts, and run the window up and down a few times. I always check the track alignment and make sure the auto-reversal pinch sensors are working perfectly before putting the door panel back together.
