If the glass is shattered, we vacuum out every single piece from inside the quarter panel cavity so you do not hear a rattling sound every time you hit a bump. Then, we unbolt the broken pane from the track.
- Surface Cleaning: Old urethane and dirt get stripped away completely. I clean the mounting surfaces down to the bare metal, making sure there is zero debris left behind that could mess with the new seal.
- Primer and Adhesive: We apply a specialized automotive glass primer to the pinch weld to prevent rust and ensure a solid bond. Once that flashes off, we lay down a precise bead of high-grade, fast-curing urethane adhesive.
- Installation and Alignment: We set the new OEM-quality quarter glass into place. The trick here is aligning it perfectly with the front door glass and the convertible roof seals. If it is off by a millimeter, you get wind noise and water leaks. We make sure it sits dead center.
