- Surface Prep: I scrape the old adhesive bead down to a thin, flat layer. If my tools make any bare metal scratches, I hit those spots with a high-quality rust-preventative primer. Skipping this step leads to rust, and I make sure your hatch frame stays solid.
- Setting the New Glass: We apply a thick, consistent bead of premium automotive-grade adhesive. Since the C30's rear glass mounts directly to the upper hinges, the alignment has to be dead-on. We set the heavy glass carefully, adjust the latch so it closes completely tight, and reconnect all the electronics.
