- Protecting the Interior: First, we lay down heavy protective covers over your seats and floor mats. We thoroughly vacuum all the broken glass out of the cabin and dig deep into the bottom of the door shell. If we get lazy and skip this, you will hear a terrible rattling sound every time you take a hard corner.
- Hardware Removal: We carefully pop off the interior door panel using proper non-marring trim tools, disconnect the ambient lighting and window switch wiring, and pull back the factory vapor barrier without tearing it.
- Surface Cleaning: We wipe down the rubber window tracks and clear out the regulator clamps. Even a tiny leftover glass shard hiding in the tracks will put a deep scratch in your brand new window the first time you roll it down.
- Primer and Adhesive Application: We apply the necessary primer and a high-quality adhesive to properly reseal the vapor barrier, lock down the weatherstripping, and secure any bonded mounting hardware so water stays out of your cabin.
- Final Installation: We guide the new glass down into the tracks and secure it to the regulator. Before we put the door back together, we run the window up and down to recalibrate the pinch sensors and make sure the auto-up function works exactly like it should.
