- Interior Protection & Cleanup: Tempered back glass breaks into thousands of tiny, sharp cubes. Before we even touch the frame, we lay down heavy drop cloths and thoroughly vacuum out your trunk, parcel shelf, and rear seats.
- Glass Removal: We carefully cut away the old urethane seal, remove the remaining chunks of glass stuck to the frame, and safely disconnect the rear defroster wiring.
- Surface Cleaning: We strip the pinch weld down to a thin layer of the original adhesive. We clean off all dirt, grease, and old debris so the new seal actually bites into the frame.
- Primer Application: Any exposed metal or scratched paint on the pinch weld gets a coat of specialized auto glass primer. This stops rust from forming under the new glass later on.
- Adhesive & Installation: We run a thick, consistent bead of high-quality urethane adhesive around the opening. Then, we carefully set the exact-fit 1998-2010 Beetle back glass in place, hook up your defroster tabs, and secure the glass while the urethane cures.
