How We Handle the Replacement Process
Working on a limited-production Ferrari means zero room for error. We follow a strict, hands-on procedure to make sure the fit and finish match factory standards:

- Safe Removal: We skip the old-school pry bars. Instead, we use a specialized wire-cutting system to slice cleanly through the old urethane. This guarantees we don't scratch the clear coat or put stress on the carbon fiber tub when lifting the damaged glass out.
- Surface Cleaning: Once the old glass is out of the way, I strip the remaining adhesive down to a thin, flat baseline. We scrub the entire pinch weld with an alcohol-based prep solvent to clear out grease, dirt, and old debris. The surface has to be surgically clean.
- Primer Application: Any bare spots on the frame get a brush of premium pinch-weld primer. This stops future corrosion dead in its tracks and gives the new adhesive a strong chemical base to bite into.
- High-Quality Adhesive Installation: We run a thick, consistent bead of fast-curing, OEM-grade urethane adhesive around the frame. Finally, we lower the new glass assembly into place using heavy-duty suction cups, making sure the gaps and alignment are dead-on before the urethane sets.
